NDASA Registered Professional Collector Training

8:00 – 12:00 (1 hr for lunch) 1:00 – 5:00

Description: Thorough preparation for those performing urine drug test collections complete with an examination and monitored mock tests by our expert trainer. This training includes and exceeds all of the elements for federal D.O.T. programs and covers the delineation between regulated and non-regulated protocols. HHS Collector Training

Description: While the differences between DOT and HHS collections can seem minimal, applicability is everything. This course will cover the jurisdictional parameters of HHS testing to ensure HHS tests are never misapplied. Thorough preparation for those performing urine drug test collections complete with monitored mock tests by our expert trainer. Reasonable Cause 

8:00 -12:00

Instructor: George Gilpatrick

Description: Taking and completing this course and examination will result in the individual being qualified to conduct reasonable suspicion evaluations and referrals for testing.  This course will exceed the federal requirements for all USDOT modes. Non-regulated employers will be fully qualified as well.

  2. Purpose of Reasonable Suspicion/Cause Testing Regulations Application
  3. Signs and symptoms of Drugs (1 Hour) Meets USDOT requirements
  4. Signs and symptoms of Alcohol (1 Hour) Meets USDOT requirements
  5. How to conduct the evaluation
  • Live demonstrations show techniques of evaluation, examples of avoidance, and the methods by which observations are transitioned from witnessed to articulated in documentation. NDASA will also address the barriers to reasonable suspicion/cause testing and how to mitigate obstacles, including support from management, legal issues and team dynamics.
  1. Examination – 20 question test with score of 90% or above required to pass

Successful completion of this course earns the trainee a professional certification.

FMCSA Clearinghouse Training

Description: This course will cover the accessibility, operations, functionality, parameters, and requirements of the FMCSA Clearinghouse database for all those required to access it and for those providing services to their clients. Learn the do’s and don’ts for staying compliant with the Clearinghouse, how to troubleshoot problems and how to find resources when needed. Your questions will be answered!

Drug Awareness

Description: This training program is designed to assist in identifying key indicators of recent drug and alcohol use and to keep pace with emerging trends in the ever-changing drug market. It also offers advice on how to go about approaching someone after suspicions they are “under the influence”. This is beyond the reasonable suspicion training and additional to the reasonable suspicion training course.  The training will also cover the categories, the names, the potencies, the preparations and the ingestion methods of the new drugs which are widely available
